CALLAWAY-JONES FUNERAL HOME GENERAL PRICE LIST

For your convenience we have included our general price list for services we provide. If you have any questions or would like to make an appointment please feel free to contact us.

The goods and services shown below are those we can provide to our customers. You may choose only those items you desire.  However, any funeral arrangements you select will include a charge for our basic services and overhead.  If legal or other requirements mean you must buy any items you did not specifically ask for, we will explain the reason in writing on the statement we provide describing the funeral goods and services you selected.

A.  SERVICES OF FUNERAL DIRECTOR AND STAFF

Out fee for the services of funeral director and staff includes, but is not limited to, staff to respond to initial request for service; arrangement conference with family or responsible party; arrangement of funeral or other disposition; preparation and filing of necessary authorizations and permits; recording vital statistics; preparation and placement of obituary notices; coordination with third party's providing other portions of the funeral, e.g. cemetery, crematory, escorts, and others.  Also included in this charge are overhead expenses relative to our facility such as insurance, maintenance and utility expenses, secretarial and administrative costs, and equipment and inventory expenses: 

 

This fee for our basic services and overhead will be added to the total cost of the funeral arrangements you select. (This fee is already included in our charges for direct cremations, immediate burials, and forwarding or receiving remains.)

B.  EMBALMING

Embalming is not required by law.  Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain funeral arrangements, such as funeral with viewing.  If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement that does not require you to pay for it, such as direct cremation or immediate burial:

G. SPECIAL SERVICES

1.  Forwarding remains to another funeral home
This charge includes removal of remains, necessary services of staff, embalming, necessary authorizations, and local transport to the airport.  This charge does not include visitation, rites or ceremonies prior to forwarding of the body.

2.  Receiving remains from another funeral home
This charge includes temporary shelter of remains, transportation of remains to cemetery and necessary services of staff.  This charge does not include visitation, rites, or ceremonies:

3.  Immediate Burials
Our charge for an immediate buriall, without any attendant rites or ceremonies, includes removal and shelter of remains, local transportation to the cemetery, necessary services of staff, and authorizations.

4.  Direct Cremations
Our charge for a direct cremation without any attendant rites or ceremonies includes removal of remains, local transportation to crematory, necessary services of all staff, and authorizations.  If you want to arrange a direct cremation, you can use an alternative container.  Alternative containers encase the body and can be made of materials like fiberboard or composition materials(with or without an outside covering).  The containers we provide are fiberboard with a wood reinforced bottom.

The following are additional items that may be ordered or required depending on the type of service you select.  The cost of these items are set by third party suppliers and are not part or our service charge.  The charges shown below represent estimated price ranges customary to the local area based upon past experience.  We have no cost control of these items and do not represent these to be actual costs currently being charged.
