Condolences

  1. my Aunt Baw-Baw new what it meant to be a friend, aunt, mom, wife, grandma. She always put the needs and feelings of others in front of her own. She gave me strength and understanding along with a great big hug and smile topped off with the best homemade fudge and date loaf candy. Her wisdom to know just what to say and when to say it always amazed me. I have so many great memories and for that im Thankful. I will miss her so much, but am comforted to know she is always by my side.
    love you Aunt Baw-Baw
    Sandra

  2. God has another angel. Always so thankful to have you as my cousin. Thanks for being so loving toward us. A great example that we have loved so much. Will miss you here but eternity with you will be great!
    God Bless,
    John and dinette wolverton

  3. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy and sadness for the family. I know words cannot soften the loss, but my prayers will be added to the many that will be offered to the Lord for Barbara.

  4. Being the youngest, I always looked up to my sister. She was my “bestest” friend. I know I drove her crazy getting into all her make-up and other stuff. She sure tolerated a lot from me. I know she taught me to tolerate people even when it was difficult and I am so thankful for that. Love you and miss you so much but I know you are in a better place and in no pain any longer.

  5. God’s Word reminds us: to be absent in the body is to be in the presence of our LORD and Savior. So Barbara is in her Heavenly Fathers Home now. We will all miss her for a little while but then, to join her in Heaven and never having to say good bye again. Love you Barbara Gaye. Roy and all the family, I know there is an emptiness now, but only time heals. Love you all. There is one thing that I will never forget about my cousin, Barbara. I can still hear it ringing in my ears, “jackie and johnnie leave Carla alone”. I don’t know how many times she said that, but it left an impression. Especially since me and john was little angles. Great memories.

    • Yes Jack, she defended me against you two little “angels” many, times. . . . .Now she is my Guardian Angel for always.

  6. I shared with someone the other day that there were two women that were part of my life who exuded spirituality. They handled whatever life threw their way with dignity, grace and a determination not to let anything impact their positive outlook on life. Those two women were my sister Beryl and Barbara. I always looked forward to the family gatherings in Hempstead when I would get to spend time with these two beautiful women. The Perkins family, and the world, has lost a ray of sunshine but Heaven has gained an angel. May the warm memories of Barbara and the wonderful person she was help to ease the pain of your loss. I know that every time I think of her, it will put a smile on my face and a warmth in my heart. May God Bless all her loved ones today and always. Much Love to you all.

  7. On behalf of the Polk County AgriLife Extension Office we extend our deepest sympathies to the Perkins Family. May God give you comfort and peace that you seek and may the soul of your loved one Rest in Peace.
