Barbara Janet Schonert, 67, of College Station, passed away Friday, July 27, 2012, at her residence. A memorial services will be held at a future date. Arrangements are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral Home and Crematory in Bryan.
Barbara was born November 25, 1944, in Stanford, Connecticut, to Eugene and Alice Cooper. She has lived in this area for thirty years and was a member at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her brother Gary Cooper, and her parents.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, George and Julia Schonert; daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Jeffery Walker, Allison and Jeff Granger; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gene and Eilene Cooper, Timothy and Marge Cooper, Michael and Betty Cooper, David and Karen Cooper; sisters and brothers-in-law, Alice and Luis Doriocourt, Donna and Dave Cooper-Oboyle; grandchildren, Brittany Schonert, Garrett Granger, Emily, Schonert, Brandon Granger, Justin Walker, James Walker, Jennifer Walker; and Kenneth Schonert, whom she had previously been married.
