Betty Smith

Betty Smith, 80, of Bryan, passed away in her home on Wednesday, July 13, 2016. Visitation will be from 6 to 8pm on Friday July 15, 2016 at Calvary Baptist Church, 2009 Cavitt Avenue. Funeral service will be at 2pm on Saturday July 16, 2016 at the church. Interment will follow in Wellborn Cemetery. Services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers.

Betty Smith was born to Govner Smith and Frances McNeer Smith in Wilmot, Arkansas. She was an active member of different Bowling Leagues during her younger years. Betty enjoyed crocheting of many different patterns and designs. She enjoyed her work or better yet her hobby as a seamstress designing different outfits for her children and grandchildren to wear. One thing she didn’t enjoy was cooking. She was a believer on Christ and shared her faith with her family and friends. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her first husband George Tom Warren, her son Roy Warren and her parents.

She is survived by her husband of six years, James A. Smith; her daughter Darlene Adam; her brother Clayton Smith; her sister Agnes Dafft and husband Lewis Ray Dafft; her five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren with another gift of life on the way.
