Danny Lefner

Bold, brash, and unabated, Daniel Wayne Lefner, 38, made his exit from this world on January 12, 2017. He’s remembered for being a loving husband, doting father, and fiercely loyal friend, with an insatiable appetite for life and a unique way of living it. He held to his credo til the end: “Ride or Die.” Danny was always going at full speed, wind in his face at full throttle.  The pull of a fish on his line, the sight of a buck in the woods, any animal not normally seen was a thrill to Danny.  He loved being outdoors, whether in his backyard or deep in the woods, sharing with others made him the happiest.  For Danny, sitting around a fire with friends and family was his piece of heaven.

Friends and family are invited to a visitation from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday January 13, 2017, at Callaway-Jones Funeral Center , 3001 S. College Ave. in Bryan. Danny will be honored with a Celebration of Life service at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 14 at Callaway-Jones. Interment will follow at Restever Memorial Park Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be some of Danny’s closest friends: Billy Anderson, Kris Karstens, Zach Bimslager, George Watkins, Van Childs, and Mike Atwood.

Danny was preceded in death by his mother, Gloria Prescott.

Survivors include his loving wife Megan, and his sons, Marcus and Parker. He is also survived by his father Ed Lefner and wife Kathy; his sister, Cari Rice; and his step-brother Dean Martinson.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Hospice Brazos Valley at 502 W. 26th St., Bryan TX 77803.

  5. I am just so saddened by this news. Danny was wild and crazy 10 years ago when we worked together at Gander Mountain! I was Gail Williams then. He made me crazy sometimes because he never wanted to do his paperwork right! lol We had some great times there. He finally settled down and turned out to be such a great guy. I was so proud and happy for him that he had such a beautiful family and was doing so well. I had no idea that he was sick. My heart breaks for his family. May God hold them close and give comfort that only He can give in such a difficult time. RIP, my friend. Gail

  6. You were truly one of a kind Danny. Rest in piece my friend. Please Lord wrap your arms around his wife and kids and give them strength in this time of need. Many prayers from the Thompson’s.
