David Gabe Meece, Jr., 75, of Bryan, passed away on Sunday July 16, 2017 in Bryan. A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 PM, Monday, July 24th, 2017 at Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers in Bryan College Station, with Certified Life Celebrant, Dawn Lee Wakefield officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Bryan. Services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers of Bryan College Station.
David was born on July 3, 1942 in Louisville, KY, the son of Delia (Turnbill) and David G. Meece, Sr. In 1964, David married the love of his life Betty Jo Kapchinski and together they had five children.
He was proceeded in death by his wife of 51 years, Betty J. Meece; his parents; his brothers, Jackie Charles and Earnest Meece; his sister, Jeannie Campbell; and granddaughter, Jodanna Lambert.
Survivors include his son, Sonny Meece; daughters, Lisa Neal and husband Edward, Sam Dodds and husband Paul, JoJo Survirk, Kristy Crenshaw and husband Kenny; eleven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren with two on the way; sisters, Sherry Tullos, Lorraine Haley and husband Bud; brother, Bobby Meece and wife Melody; and numerous nieces and nephews.
