Derek Edward Causby

Derek Edward Causby, 29, passed away on Friday, April 1, 2011. A memorial service celebrating his life is set for 2 p.m., Friday, April 8, 2011, at Callaway-Jones Funeral Home in Bryan, with Pastor Levernice Morgan officiating.

Derek was the child of Duane Causby of Bryan, and Debra Causby of Michigan. Derek loved life and had many friends. He liked to fish and do woodworking. Derek worked at Kent Moore Cabinets.

He was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Charles Causby, of Hopedale, Ohio, and maternal grandmother and grandfather, Shirley and Jim Chaney, of Cadiz, Ohio.

Derek is survived by his father Duane Causby, of Bryan, Texas, mother, Debra Causby, of Michigan, step-mother, Dawn Rakowitz, of Bryan, Texas; sister, Amy Causby, of Michigan; brothers, Donald Sparkman, of Norfolk, VA (serving in Iraq), James Sparkman, of Cleveland, Ohio, Lonnie Sparkman, of Bryan, Texas (serving in Afghanistan), paternal grandmother, Mary Causby, of Cadiz, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Derek’s honor may be made to the American Diabetes Association at P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
