Elizabeth (Fisher) June Ator

Elizabeth Fisher Ator, 62, of Giddings, formerly of Bryan, passed away at St. David’s Heart Hospital in Austin on Friday, February 21. A memorial service will be at 2pm on Thursday, March 6 at the funeral home. Inurnment will immediately follow at Bryan City Cemetery. Irvin Huckaby will officiate the service. Cremation and service arrangements are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral Home and Crematory.

Beth was born in Bryan to Herman L. Fisher and Jeffie M. Nokes on March 31, 1951. Beth graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School in 1969. She was employed as a H.U.D. representative in Bryan, payroll clerk/human resource clerk in Lexington, housewife and most of all Grammie to the love of her life her 10 grandchildren.

Her father Herman Fisher, mother Jeffie Nokes, brother John Fisher and sister Lesley Stevens precede her in death.

She is survived by her husband, David Ator; her two sons Mark Maxwell and Bubba Maxwell; her daughter Tanya Iselt; her brother Jeff Fisher; and sister Shirley and husband Phil Stratta; grandchildren Cayden Maxwell, Reyana Maxwell, Jasmine Maxwell, McKenzie Maxwell, Desiree Maxwell, Daniel Iselt, Benjamin Iselt, Amy Iselt, Corine Iselt, Emily Iselt and numerous nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her closest companions dogs Peanut and Little Bit.

  1. Even though we lost track of each other I have thought of you many times. We had some good times my friend and fond memories of Mark and Little Jerry when they were young. My heart is sadden but also happy that you are now in God’s hands. You will never be forgotten Beth.
