Ellen Pearl Carr, 59, of College Station, passed away Friday, September 17, 2010 at her residence. A memorial service is set for 10 a.m., Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at Callaway-Jones Funeral Home in Bryan.
Ellen was born in Beaumont, Texas. She had lived in College Station since 1965.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas Carr; daughters and sons-in-law, Sue Ellen and Jeff Mortashed of College Station, Texas, Mary and Sammy Garcia of Bryan, Texas and Cynthia Carr of Bryan, Texas; sister, Sherry Barfield of Lampasas, Texas; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Brazos Valley.
I am so sorry for the loss of Ellen. My daughter Angela loves her like a 2nd mother. Ellen and Thomas were there for Angela when I was 1000 miles away. They love her like their own daughter. I know Ellen will be missed by all that knew her. My prayers continue for Thomas and all other family members. May God give you the comfort that he promises in his word. Ellen is with Jesus now. My love to all.

My deepest sympathies to Mr Carr and the whole family. I loved Mrs Carr so much, words cannot express. She was an exceptional woman, and will be dearly missed. She is now one of our guardian angels.
