Erlene Brown, 80, of Bryan passed away Saturday, August 25, 2007 at Crestview Retirement Center. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 29 at Callaway-Jones Funeral Home with interment following at Rest-Ever Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 28 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Brown was born in Benton, Tenn., and was a resident of Bryan for 30 years. She was a member of Northview Baptist Church.

Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband, John T. Brown.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Betty Parmer of Seminary, Miss.; daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Allen Hoelscher of Bryan; two grandchildren, Kristina Whitmore and Travis Hoelscher, both of Bryan; and her faithful dog companion, Punkin.

Memorials may be made to Northview Baptist Church, 1809 Tabor Rd., Bryan, Texas 77803 or the American Cancer Society, Brazos County Unit, 3207 Briarcrest Dr., Bryan, Texas 77802.

Andy and Sarah wanted me to be sure to leave their condolences and sympathy. She was a lovely neighbor to them at Old Oaks, and Andy enjoyed visiting with her at Crestview whenever he worked there.
