Esequiel Guevara Sr.

Esequiel Guevara Sr., 74, of Bryan, passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2017, in College Station. A visitation is scheduled from 6 to 8pm, Friday, September 15, 2017, with a rosary recited at 7PM by Father Jared Cooke at the funeral home. His Life Tribute service will be at 3PM, Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Callaway-Jones. Interment will follow in Bryan City Cemetery. Funeral Service is in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers Bryan-College Station.
Esequiel Guevara was born to Felipe and Maria Estrada Guevara on April 10, 1943 in Gonzales, Texas. He was a man who enjoyed life and provided well for his family. Esequiel loved to dance. He was Butcher by trade but always shared a good story with his customers. He truly loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; spending time with them was his passion. In his earlier days you were always welcomed to join him in an adventurous camping trip. He was at peace with the world while fishing at his favorite fishing hole, touring state parks with his family, and enjoying First Fridays in Downtown Bryan. He liked to cook BBQ and watching both is Texas Aggies and Dallas Cowboys Football games.
Preceding him in death are his wife Mary Ramos Guevara; his parents Felipe and Maria; his sons Esequiel Guevara Jr., and Ernest Guevara; his brothers-in-law Paul Rios and Augustine Longoria.
His survivors include his children Mary Levan and husband Raymond, Cynthia Winona, Evelyn Levan and husband Richard (Ricky)II, Blue Guevara and wife Michelle, Jessie Guevara and wife Jamie, and Patricia Guevara; his brothers Pete Guevara and Chris Guevara and wife Nicole; his sisters Mary Ramos and husband Pablo, Kathy Rios, Susan Longoria, and Janie Lopez; his daughter-in-law Veronica Guevara; his twenty grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren; and other relatives and close friends.
