Garnet was born in Washington County to Charlie and Lydia Addicks Eimann. He married the love of his life Margie Lee Kirwin on August 14, 1948. Garnet adored and loved his wife according to scripture and honored her as the mother of his children. He worked for many years with the TAMU Physical Plant and the TAMU Fire Department, where he retired from both. Garnet was a member of Fellowship Freewill Baptist Church for a number of years. He was very instrumental and active with Wellborn Water Supply as a founding member. He also served on the Brazos and Colorado Water Works Association. Garnet enjoyed traveling and taking his bride to many places as their many first dates. He could often be found tending to his cattle and walking his property line-checking fence. He and his dominoe playing friends will miss each other’s company.

His wife of 61 years, Margie Kirwin Eimann; his parents, brothers Glen Eimann and Gilbert Eimann; and sister Evelyn Lorenz, precede him in death.

His survivors include his son Dane and wife Denise Eimann; his daughter Carolyn and husband Mike Gibbens; his grandchildren Dwayne and wife Toni Eimann, DeAnna and husband Richard Ross, Danna Eimann, Cathy and husband Nathan Rice, and Kevin Gibbens; and ten great-grand children.

Condolences

  1. Garnet will be remembered for his lifelong friendship with our families. We’ll miss his smile & his taking the time everytime to greet us & visit to ask about all of us. Our visits by phone about cows & being neighbors for more than 54 yrs. We think of Margie each Feb as she never once forgot Shirley’s Birthday! Two wonderful family friends that are forever in our hearts & memories.

  2. Garnett and Margie were not only our cousins, but close friends of our family during our growing-up years. They stayed close to Mama and Daddy, making many drives through the countryside, stopping at a rest area for coffee. Carolyn and Dane, our sympathy on the passing of your dad.
