Gerald Brown

Gerald Brown, 74, passed away Friday September 16, 2016.

He was born Dec. 8, 1941, in Lawton, Okla. He was a graduate of Texas A&M University, the University of Texas Law School and St. Mary’s University in San Antonio. He served in the U.S. Army and U.S. Army Reserve. He had a private law practice in Temple for 26 years and served as judge for County Court at Law No. 3 for 12 years. He was a past president of the Bell County Bar Association; the Criminal Defense Lawyers Association; and Kiwanas International. He was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Donaldson Brown; a brother, Jimmie Lee Brown of Walla Walla, Wash.; a son, Bradley Brown of College Station; a daughter, Beth Brown Bononi of Berkshire, England; and four grandchildren.

Services will be 4 p.m. Thursday, September 22, 2016 at Grace Presbyterian Church in Temple. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Grace Presbyterian Church memorial fund; the Presbyterian Children’s Home; or any charity of your choice.

  1. I am sorry to have missed the service and I wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed Gerald over the yrs serving in Kiwanis with him and he was always such a caring and gracious person .You could always count on him !
