Henry Oscar Tuck, Jr., “Bubba”, 78, of Bryan, passed away Monday, July 16, 2012 at St. Joseph Hospital. Memorial services will be held at Callaway-Jones Funeral Home in Bryan, TX on Saturday, July 21 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Rusty Hudson officiating. Visitation will be Friday, July 20 at Callaway-Jones from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Bubba was born September 19, 1933 in Bryan, TX, the son of Irene (Smoot) and Henry Oscar Tuck, Sr. He was a lifelong resident of Bryan and graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School in 1952. He attended Allen Military Academy and Sam Houston College and served honorably in the U. S. Army, stationed in Germany. He was employed for many years and retired from Alenco, was Vice President of Enercon Insulating Storm Products, and served in the Brazos County Sheriff’s Department.
Bubba was a kind and loyal friend, a loving brother, devoted husband and proud grandfather. He was a lifelong member of Central Baptist Church, having been baptized at the College Avenue Baptist Church, member of the Good News Sunday School class and active in Triple L. He belonged to Sul Ross Camp #1457, Sons of Confederate Veterans and was a fully vested charter member of the Wednesday Morning Coffee Bunch.
Henry is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Barbara, of Bryan; sister Joan Heyde; stepchildren Lynda and Rodney Hurt, Terry and Ken Goodman of College Station; Rusty Hudson of Ft. Worth; Mike and Terrye Hudson of Longview; grandchildren Bradley and Misty Hurt, Regan Hurt, Bennett Goodman, Drew Goodman, Paul Hudson, Matthew Hudson, Melissa Hudson; and Lisa Eaton, Raven and Hannah; several nieces and nephews and many loyal friends.

I am sorry to learn of the loss of Henry. He will be missed. It will be so wonderful when our ‘enemy death is brought to nothing’ and we will no longer worry about our loved ones passing away. (1 Corinthians 15:26) I hope the ‘God of all comfort’ will help your family during this time of sorrow. (2 Corinthians 1:3,4)
Bubba Tuck was a faithful son of the South, and he will be missed by his fellow Compatriots of the Sul Ross Camp 1457, Sons of Confedeerate Veterans.
