James Edward Mullen

James Edward Mullen, 44, of Wellborn, passed away Monday, July 6, 2009, at St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan. A private viewing was held for the family. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, July 9, at the Wellborn Baptist Church.

James was born on January 4, 1965, to Clebert and Joy Mullen, and he lived in the Wellborn community for nearly his lifetime.

Survivors include his wife, Dana Roy Mullen, of Wellborn; son, James Edward Mullen Jr., of Hot Springs, Arkansas; daughter, Leanne Nicole Mullen, of Hot Springs, Arkansas; step-daughter, Ashley Martina Acosta, of Wellborn; parents, Clebert and Joy Mullen, of College Station, TX; sister, Connie Sue Mullen, of Bremond, TX; nieces, Angela Marie Dawson, of Wellborn, Sondera Lynn Dawson and Melinda Sue Dawson, both of Bryan, TX; and numerous other nieces, nephews, and friends

  1. I always considered Jim my Brother. We grew up together, shared life and loved eachother very much and I will miss him sorely. My thoughts and prayers are with Joy, Ed, Connie and friends.

  6. Jim was are Neighbor growing up! Remember his First job helping my Dad Pat Hollimon putting up a fence around our property. Jim was a Great Gentleman
