James Edward Stowe

James Edward Stowe, 85, of Bryan passed away Thursday, January 31, 2008, surrounded by loved ones. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday, February 4, at Callaway-Jones Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 3 p.m. at San Pedro Cemetery in Crockett, Texas.

James was born in Crockett, Texas, and was a resident of Bryan for 45 years. Prior to his retirement, he was a truck driver.

He was preceded in death by his son, Richard Stowe.

Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Billy and Martha Stowe of North Zulch and Bobby and Pam Stowe of Austin; daughters and sons-in-law, Dell and Felix Bomnskie, Lois and Bobby Downey, all of Bryan, Dorothy and Jimmy Hamm of Lovelady, Texas, Ruth and Gene Keels of Terrell, Texas, Jean and Ken Hager of Bryan and Shirley and Chester Connor of Anacoco, La.; 27 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
