Juan ‘Papa John’ S. Garcia Sr.

Services for Juan ‘Papa John’ S. Garcia Sr., 78, of Caldwell are set for 10 a.m. Thursday at Santa Teresa Catholic Church.

Burial will be at Caldwell Masonic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. and a rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Callaway Jones Funeral Home in Bryan.

Mr. Garcia died Sunday at St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan.

He had been a resident of Caldwell for 14 years and was a retired truck driver for Budweiser.

Survivors include seven sons and six daughters-in-law, Joe L. and Nina Garcia, Albert and Janie Garcia, Lawrence and Mary Lou Garcia, all of Bryan, John Jr. and Karlis Garcia, Julio Garcia, Tony and Christy Garcia, all of Caldwell, and Rudy and Tasha Garcia of Gustine; four daughters and sons-in-law, Janie and Gilbert Guerrero of Austin, Rosie and Bob Cole, Anna and Pete Quintero, all of Bryan, and Joann and Benny DeLeon of Caldwell; five brothers and three sisters-in-law, Marvin and Sally Garcia of Michigan, Guillermo Garcia of Farwell, Raymond and Angelina Garcia, Robert and Betty Garcia, and Joe Garcia, all of Bryan; two sisters, Mary Hernandez of Bryan and Frances Garza of Farwell; 41 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
