Kent McNeill

After a seven year battle with cancer and its effects, Kent J. McNeill, 56, of College Station went to be with his lord and savior on Saturday, March 7. A graveside service is scheduled for April 4, 2015 in Albany, Texas. Kent will be laid to rest beside his brother Zane at the Johnson Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. His son-in-law John Kimbrough will officiate. Cremation services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral Home and Crematory.

Kent was born in Winters, Texas, on December 20, 1958 to Jon and Lavoy King McNeill. Kent graduated from Winters High School in 1977 and attended Western Texas College in Snyder where he was a member of the college rodeo team. He worked across the state in the oil and gas industry. Kent loved being with his family. He was a diehard Texas Longhorn fan, enjoyed watching college and professional sports, and enjoyed antiquing.

He was a grandpa who lived his life for his grandchildren, Sutton Grenwelge, Jackson Pilosi, Jacob Pilosi, Gus Kimbrough, and Elaina Kimbrough whom he loved very much.Surviving Kent is his wife Cheryl Grenwelge, his son Shane McNeill, stepson Seth Grenwelge and wife Caroline; stepdaughter Erin Kimbrough and husband John; his twin brother Flent K. McNeill, his sisters Jill McClellan and husband Les, Jan Oden and husband Joe Dan; his grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death are his parents and his brothers Zane King McNeill and Dickie Jon McNeill.
