Laurie Wenck- Tanguy

Laurie Wenck-Tanguy, 53, went to her eternal life April 12, 2008 in Bryan, Texas.
She was born in Frankfort, Germany on January 2, 1955. Laurie saw the world at a very young age, traveling where ever military life took the family. She graduated high school in Columbus, Georgia and received a B.S in Sociology from Texas A-M University. She was the owner of Gizmo’s Café in College Station, TX before settling in Scottsdale, AZ.

She raised 2 amazing sons, Evan Tanguy and Ryan Gordy. She will be remembered for her passion for cooking, her zest for life and making an indelible mark on all the lives she touched. Laurie was a one of a kind!

She was preceded in death by her father, U.S. Army (Ret.) Lt. Col. Freddie Ray Wenck and survived by her mother Teresa Wenck of Bryan, Texas. She is also survived by her children Ryan Gordy of Bryan, TX and, Evan Tanguy of Scottsdale, AZ; siblings Karla Todd and husband U.S. Navy (Ret.) Capt. Michael Todd of Cypress, TX; Marcia Wenck of Bryan, TX; Fred Wenck and wife Cheryl of Bryan, TX and Andrea Wenck-Hanner and husband Rich of Garner, NC.

A visitation and rosary will be held at Callaway-Jones Funeral Home Monday, April 14th from 6pm
