Lee Roy Hejl, 78, of Bryan passed away July 25, 2009 at St. Joseph Regional Health Center. A celebration of the life of Lee R. Hejl is set for August 8, 2009 at First Baptist Caldwell, Family Life Center at 2 pm.
Mr. Hejl was born on February 13, 1931, in Caldwell, to William and Rosie Hejl. On June 17, 1953, he married Willie Mae Charanza. Mr. Hejl was a self employed home builder in Brazos and Burleson County for many years. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, wood working and being with his family and numerous animals.
Lee lived by this motto: The Lord gave us two ends, one to sit on and one to think with. A man’s success depends upon which end he uses most; it is a case of heads you win tails you lose. Lee was defiantly a winner.
He is preceded in death by both parents and 12 brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Willie Mae Hejl of Bryan; daughter, Kim Muth, of Bryan; son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Amy Hejl, of Caldwell; grandchildren, Trent Muth, of Bryan, Hannah Hejl and Gracie Hejl, both of Caldwell, and numerous nieces and nephews.
May GOD give Lee rest.
I want to send my condolences to the Lee Roy Hejl family. I did carpenter work for the Hejl family from the 8th grade through college in the summers and after school.. Johnny, Ray and Lee Roy were all both employers and friends. The knowledge I gained from Lee Roy helped me land my first job after graduating from college, that was with Temple-Inland, and I am with the same company 35 years later. I still have fond memories of the time spent with Lee Roy building houses in Bryan.
Willie Mae and family,
Sorry to hear about Lee Roy’s passing.
You are in our thoughts and prayers.
Shirley and Don Birkelbach and family

Willie Mae, Kimberly and Larry; we send our thoughts and prayers to you all at this difficult time. May God grant Leroy everlasting peace and may He comfort you as you mourn the loss of your loved one.
