May 13, 1937 – May 23, 2017

Maxine Ann Roys went to meet her heavenly father at the age of 80 on May 23, 2017, at St. Joseph Hospice surrounded by her family. A gathering of family and friends will take place for graveside services at 2:00 pm, Thursday, May 25, 2017, at Bryan City Cemetery located at 1111 South Texas Avenue, Bryan, Texas 77803. Services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers Bryan-College Station.

Maxine was born to Arthur and Ella Roys on May 13, 1937, in Caldwell, Texas. She spent her entire career in the grocery business beginning with Weingarten’s and finishing her career with Acosta Sales & Marketing in 2015. She was a hard worker, faithful employee and loved her job.

Maxine’s first love was her family. She also loved taking care of her plants, flowers and crocheting hats for babies at the hospital.

She was preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Ella Roys and her life companion Earl “Red” Wilson.

Maxine is survived by her sisters Betty Smith and husband Charlie, Linda Warren and brother James Roys and wife Carol; Sons, Johnny Ward and wife Tommie, Robert Ward, Keith Carroll and wife Tina; Grandchildren, Nathan, Brandon and Brian Silvers, Robert, David and Dillion Ward, Cody and Mackenzie Carroll; Great grandson, Robert Dale Ward, along with numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
