Melville Francis Finch

Melville Finch, 80, of Anderson, passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2014 at Navasota Nursing and Rehabilitation in Navasota. A Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, March 8, from 1 to 4 PM at the VFW Hall in Navasota, the family asked that you dress in casual attire. Meville requested his body be donated to further medical studies with Texas A&M Health Science Center; arrangements are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral Home and Crematory.

Melville was born to Robert and Elanor Berry Finch in Hanover, Massachusetts on January 9, 1934. He graduate high school and began his career early in life as a pipe fitter. He enjoyed being outdoors spending time in his woodshop after retirement. He was an avid fisherman, and enjoyed hunting in the great out doors. Merville had a special place in his heart for his most cherished pet, Porky.

His parents, and siblings, precede him in death.

He is survived by his sons Timothy and wife Patricia Finch, Melville Jr and wife Erin; his daughter Barbara Coleman and her husband Don; his nine grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that your memorial donations be given to a charity of your choice.
