In 1954, she married Leopold Franz Scheiber in Kountze. They later retired and moved to Liberty. After the deaths of her mother & husband, she moved to Bryan where she was active in Literacy Volunteers of America & the local AARP Chapter.
She was preceded in death by her husband Leopold F. Scheiber of St. Paul, MN; parents, William Preston & Eva Maywald Barrett; sister, Martha Roberta “Bobs” Barrett Moore and her husband William Fowler Moore, Sr.; brothers, William Preston Barrett, Jr. and Richard Bates Barrett.

Holcombe Blvd., Houston, TX 77030-2008.

Condolences

  1. To my sweet Aunt Ninon – the one I will always remember with a quick wit, smile, joke and laughter (especially with our daddy, Dick Barrett). They were so fun to watch together and when he was ill she was the angel that came to care for him. She made him laugh right up until the end of his life. He would have done the same for her. May you both be full of laughter and love in heaven. We will miss you here on earth every day. Love you – Sandy /Sweet Pea

  2. Dear Mel and family, Really sorry to hear about your aunt. She is now at peace and an angel to watch over you guys. God bless her soul and prayers for all of you. Love ya, Michele
