Ruby Raymond Ruff
April 24, 1924 – January 18, 2018

Ruby Raymond Johnson Ruff (Rae), 93, of College Station, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2018. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 27, 2018 at one o’clock in the afternoon at Peace Lutheran Church.

Rae was born in Dallas, Texas on April 24, 1924 to Ruby Dickey Johnson and Harry Raymond Johnson. She was passionate about many things, including singing with her husband, David, in a Gospel group, performing, painting and playing board games, but most importantly, she was passionate about her family.

She was a devoted Christian and very proud of her 67 year perfect Sunday School attendance record. She will be remembered for her love of people and her quick wit.

Her two daughters Rita Ruff Klier, of College Station, and Dr. Nancy Ruff and husband Bill Carruthers, of Clinton, Washington; her four grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren all survive Rae. Her husband of 62 years, David Ruff, and son-in-law Ralph Klier preceded Rae in death.

In lieu of flowers, please make any donations to Hospice Brazos Valley, 502, East 26th Street, Bryan, Texas 77803, as she loved this organization.

  3. I will miss you and your loving spirit. God had a plan when he put us together and I am so Blessed that he did. I cannot count the many times we spent laughing and talking. I am a much better person because of you. Love you always and forever. I know you are so happy to be with David again but it has left a hole in our hearts. May God wrap you and your family in his arms and carry you throughout this most difficult time.
