Sandy Flaxington, 68, of College Station, formerly of Rhode Island, passed away on Sunday July 10, 2016 in Austin. Visitation will be at 2p.m. until the time of service at 3:30pm, on Friday July 15, 2016 at St. Michael’s Academy Chapel, 2402 South College Ave. Services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers.

Sandy was born to Russell Sr., and Mary Louise Robbins in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. Sandy was married to David Flaxington. They moved to Texas to escape the cold and be close to friends they met through the Eastern Star. Sandy was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She love her family and grandchildren; always preparing home cooked meals for them to enjoy. She was a member of the Millican Untied Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband David; her son Allen Priestly; her daughter Kimberly Trowell; her brothers Russell and wife Barbara Robbins, Francis Robbins, Roger and wife Carol Robbins; her three grandchildren Heather , John Jr., and Amanda; her two great-children Robert Trowell and Grayson Williams. Her son-in-law John Trowell and sister-in-law Janet Robbins precede her in death.
