Sarah Anne King Mosley passed away on July 17, 2013 in Bryan, Texas. She was 88 years of age at the time of her death. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held in the Arbor Oaks Chapel at Crestview Retirement Community in Bryan, Texas at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 9, 2013 with Pastor Gary Adams officiating. Burial will be in Bosqueville, Texas on Saturday, August 10, 2013.
Anne (better known as Gama) was born on November 24, 1924 in St. Louis, Missouri. She was the daughter of James Madison and Mabel Williams King. She graduated from Waco High School in Waco, Texas and attended both Lindenwood University in Missouri and Baylor University in Waco, Texas. Anne married William Norman Mosley, her high school sweetheart, on September 19, 1944 in Waco, Texas. Bill and Anne had five children, Patricia Anne, Carol Sue, David King, Sarah Jane and James Alan (Bub). Anne spent many years in Oklahoma raising her children until Bill was transferred to Houston, Texas with Superior Oil Company. Her joy was the activities of her children and her love of bowling which she continued after moving to Houston and then to Bryan. Anne was a stay at home mother through the years her five children were growing up and then became available to her thirteen grandchildren and her thirteen great grandchildren whenever needed. She will be remembered as an unconditionally loving mother and grandmother and a loyal and loving friend to all who were fortunate to call her friend. Anne enjoyed gardening, her little dogs, anything Aggie, being outside and being with her many friends at the bowling alley. She was a character to the end. It seemed everyone who knew her loved her.
Late in life, she was given special care by the staff of Crestview Retirement Community and Hospice Brazos Valley. The family would like to thank all of the staff at Crestview Retirement Community for their loving care. Special thanks to Brent Robins, Georgia Mitchell and Sharon Byrd for their care, concern and funny stories of our Mom on a night that would have been all tears but instead was laughter.
Anne was preceded in death by her husband, William Norman Mosley.
