Shirley Luckenbill

Shirley Ann Luckenbill, 75, of Bryan, peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family at home. The family will receive friends during visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 19, 2015 at St. Michael’s Chapel, 2402 S. College Ave., Bryan, at the corner of Williamson and South College. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. Friday, March 20, also at St. Michael’s Chapel. Interment will follow at Rest-Ever Memorial Park Cemetery in Bryan. Funeral services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral Home and Crematory.

Shirley was born November 15, 1939, in New Baden, Texas, to Willie and Erie Gray. She was a member of the Women’s Auxillary at the VFW and the American Legion. She enjoyed fishing, dancing, playing cards, and going on casino trips.  Shirley was also a member of Sons of Herman Lodge 99 in Bryan.

She was preceded in death by her husband John (Lucky) Luckenbill; brother, Dearl Wayne Gray; sisters, Lois Menz and Bonnie Havins; grandchild, Angel Berry; and her parents.

She leaves behind her husband, Glen Greer; son, John (Jack) Luckebill Jr and finace Amy Koronka; daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and Chris Saunders, Michele and Bernardo Mireles; sister, Agnes Krueger; grandchildren, Chris Saunders and wife Jennifer, Patrick Luckenbill and wife Pamela, Tommy Saunders and wife Tanya, Jeremy Luckenbill and wife Sara, Ciara Saunders, Gracie Mireles, Ethan Mireles; and great grandchildren, Connor, Allyson, Nathen, Kyler, Kamden, Kolston, Keegan, Rylynne, Brooklyn, Parker, and Jonah.
