Stephanie Jo Mason

Stephanie Jo Mason, 69, of Bryan, passed away on September 19th at her home in Bryan. Stephanie requested to be cremated and the family to hold a remembrance service which will be on Saturday, October 12 with visitation beginning at 10:30 until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Services will be held at Bright Light Free Will Baptist Church in College Station. Callaway-Jones Funeral Home and Crematory has been called upon to serve her family.

Mrs. Mason was born on September 23, 1943 in New Orleans, Louisiana while her father was in the Navy. She is the daughter of Lorne Stewart Inglehart and Iris Idelle(Dyess)Inglehart; both have preceded her in death.

Jo was a writer and had several articles published in the following
magazines: Highlights for Children, Family Circle, Backwoods Home, Capper’s,
Dell Logic Puzzles, Best Recipes, and Maine Organic Farmer and Gardener.
She was the president of Brazos Writers Group in 1997. She graduated from Steven F Austin High School in 1961. She enjoyed cooking and most of all loved her family.

Jo will be greatly missed by all those whose lives she touched. May God give
her the peace and tranquility she longed for.

She leaves behind, to a loving husband of 50 years, Rodney D. Mason; son, Cameron Darrel (Tanya)
Mason; daughter, Leslie (Robert) Bird; brother, George (Annmarie)Inglehart;
sister, Dinah Inglehart; five granddaughters, Jennifer Bird, Sharron Bird, Staci Bird, Lily
Mason, and Karli Mason. She had a special place in her heart for her 93 year old cousin, Merle D. Apperson, of Tomball. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family extends a special thanks to all the nurses at Compassionate Care for making hospice at home possible. With deep appreciation her family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to Olivia Thomas for delicate touch and loving care you gave to Stephanie Mason.
