Tammy Ann Kishino
April 20, 1962 –January 6, 2018
Tammy Kishino, 55, passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2018, at her home near College Station surrounded by the love of her family. A visitation will begin at 1 pm, on Saturday, January 13, 2018 with the service beginning at 2 pm, at Victory United Pentecostal Church, 13107 State Highway 30, College Station. Interment will follow in Bethel Cemetery on Hardy Weedon Road. Celebrant, Dawn Wakefield will officiate services. Life Tribute Services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers Bryan-College Station.
Tammy was born to Gerald and Judy Lichty Manning, on April 20, 1962 in Lehighton, Pennsylvania. She grew up as a part of a Marine Corps family, and graduated from Twenty-Nine Palms High School as Miss Twenty-Nine Palms. Ashley and Tammy met in Southern California, married, and moved to the Houston Clear Lake area in 1989. In 2007 Tammy and Ashley purchased a home and land in the country near College Station, and it was here that Tammy’s love of animals and the country flourished. She raised, rescued and acquired an assortment of horses, dogs, donkeys, ducks and chickens, tenderly caring for all of them. Recently diagnosed with cancer, she maintained a positive attitude. She passed away while walking about her property admiring the many gifts of life she was blessed with, surrounded by those she loved. Her true joys in life are her husband and three children.
Her husband of twenty-eight years, Ashley Carlton Kishino; her children Shane Manning, Matthew Kishino, and Alanna Kishino; her parents Gerald Sr. and Judy Manning; her brother Gerald Manning Jr.; her sister, Caryn Manning; and her mother-in-law Sheila Smith survive her.

I just learned of the death of Tammy. I never knew her but I am related to her great grandfather Ira Lichty (my great uncle.) I knew Ira very well as I used to visit him with my parents and after I was married. I had just come across Tammy’s name on my ancestry as being related and when I saw the name Ira I sent her a message today. However, when I looked up her name to see where she lived I came across her obituary instead. How shocked I was because I was expecting to hear from her soon. My deepest sympathy to your family. The only child of Ira’s that I knew was a son Russell but never met Albert. Tammy would be my 2nd cousin once removed and Judith, you would be my 2nd cousin. I spoke with your sister Karen a few years ago by phone asking for information for my genealogy.
