Valeen Silvy, 61, of College Station, passed away August 31st, 2011, at St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan. Arrangements are under the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral Home & Crematory in Bryan. She is survived by her husband, Nova Silvy, of College Station.

Jennifer and I enjoyed getting to know Mr. and Mrs. Silvy while working in the keys and going to school. Mrs. Silvy was such a wonderful and sweet woman. She was a joy to be around and was always smiling no matter what. I still remember some of the conversations we had in the keys over dinner after a day of work. She will be greatly missed by us.
