Victor Joseph Strickland

Victor Strickland at the age ninety-three passed away Thursday, June 12, 2014 in Bryan, Texas.

Victor was born to Chester Clyde and Rintha Cooley Strickland in Waynesboro, Mississippi. He was Chief Stewart for forty-five years with Lykes Lines.

Preceding him in death are his parents; his brother Rayon Strickland; his sister Ernistine Tatum better known as Bo.

He is survived by Alice, his wife of Seventy years, and sons, Joe Strickland and wife Sherry, Neil Strickland and wife Janie, and Alfred Strickland and his daughters Vicky Kellen, Phyllis Hatcher and husband Wayne, and Renthia Strickland and his eighteen grandchildren, twenty- three great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

Victor is also survived by his brother Hubert Strickland; his sisters Johnnie Pearl Mizzel, Baebae Williamson, Annie Gay Harrison, JoAnne Rouse, Christine Mashburn, and Chestine O’Neal.
