Amber Nicole Gustavus Locke, 40, of Bryan, was lifted into the arms of God on Monday, January 27, 2020, in Bryan. A Life Tribute Graveside Celebration Service honoring Amber’s life will begin at 10 am, Saturday, February 8, 2020, in Bryan City Cemetery. Services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers, Bryan-College Station.

Amber is preceded in death by her brother, Brandon Russell Gustavus; her grandfather Virgil Gustavus; her grandparents James and Margaret Dobbs; and her beloved uncle, Kevin Dobbs.

Amber is survived by her daughters, Emily and Elliott Locke; her parents, Galen and Lawanna Gustavus; her grandmother Imogene Gustavus; numerous cousins and close friends.

    I can’t even express the things I have felt since I heard the news. I’m so sorry! I will always remember my time spent with her in St. Louis when she was a pre-teen as I escorted some of our brightest children at their national problem solving competition. How proud you must have been of her. Please feel free to reach out to your friends and former classmates as you deal with your grief. May she rest in peace!

  23. I have just read Amber’s obituary in The Eagle. Jake and I are in shock at the loss of this lovely young woman. It is so difficult to find the words to express our sympathy. We have not seen
    amber in many years. Lawanna worked for me many years ago and Amber would come to the office at times. She was probably 8 or 9 years old. She was very pretty and very intelligent. I put her to work in the office and she always did a great job. Galen and Lawanna, we am so sorry that you have lost yet another child. We hope you find strength in your faith, your memories and the blessing of Emily and Elliot in your lives.
