Angela Zavodny, 46, of Bryan, passed away on Friday, December 14, 2018, in Bryan. A visitation will be held at 5pm, Sunday, December 16, 2018, at Callaway-Jones Funeral Centers. Her Funeral Service will be at 10am, Monday, December 17, 2018, at First United Methodist Church – Bryan with Rev. Rick Sitton, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Bryan City Cemetery. Services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers, Bryan-College Station.

Angela was born on May 16, 1972, to Johnny Ruiz and Guadalupe Hernandez Ruiz, in Bryan. Angela was a very involved lady in the lives of many family and friends. She shared her Christian values and faith with all. She enjoyed the Christmas Season the most while planning and creating Christmas Programs for her bible classes. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. She and Johnny, her late husband, loved to fish. She is a graduate of Bryan High School Class of 1990; she was a member of the band.  She attended Texas A&M graduating Class of 95 with her degree in Mechanical Engineering and in 98 with her Masters Degree in Business Administration. She was employed with TAMU TEEXS, prior to A&M she worked at Tharp’s Printing and Southwest Printing, where she met her husband. Angela loved to garden and was a collector of cactus’. If you knew Angela, you knew, she a tremendous fan of both Aggie and Dallas Cowboy’s Football.

Her husband, of 12 year, Johnny Daniel Zavodny Jr, precedes her in death.

Angela is survived by her parents Johnny Ruiz and Guadalupe Hernandez Ruiz; her sister, Rebecca Ruiz; her brother, Richard and wife Sophia Ruiz; his niece, Ellie Jones; her nephew, Harvard Ruiz; and other relatives and close friends.

  2. Sorry to hear about the pass away of Angela. She was a great friend. Great memories of us together at Texas A&M. Please send information on where to visit her grave. I will traveling to TX from Seattle in February.
