Anita Loree Howard, 86, of College Station, passed away peacefully on Wednesday October 24, 2018 surrounded by family. A Celebration of Anita’s life is set for 10 a.m. on Tuesday, October 30, 2018, at Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Center in Bryan with Certified Life Celebrant Dawn Lee Wakefield Officiating. Interment will follow at 3 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Cemetery in Houston. Services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers of Bryan College Station.
Anita was born July 7, 1932, in Kingsville, Texas, to Luther and Virginia Broadway. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her loving husband of 70 years, Tom Howard; daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Charles Melvin, Debbie and Ben Franklin; brother and sister-in-law, Adrian and Jan Broadway; grandchildren, Chip Melvin, Matthew Melvin, Aaron Franklin; and great grandchildren, Peyton Melvin, Brayden Melvin, Samantha Melvin, Miles Melvin, and Vivian Franklin.
