Benjamin Phillip Bairrington

B. P. “Phil” Bairrington, 87, of Bryan, Texas, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, September 24, 2018. He did not wish to have a public viewing or memorial service. Cremation services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers, Bryan-College Station.

Phil was born on May 14, 1931 in Tahoka, Texas to Cleave and Jewel Minor Bairrington. In 1950 he married his high school sweetheart, Maxine Stokes. Phil served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. After receiving an honorable discharge in 1956 he spent 37 years in the food manufacturing, distribution and sales business. He retired in 1993 after spending 25 years as the General Manager of Price Food Company in Fort Worth, Texas.

He is survived by his four sons and daughters-in-law, Ben and Charlotte Bairrington of Fort Worth Texas; Hollis and Sandi Bairrington of Broomfield, Colorado; David and Jean Bairrington of Bryan, Texas; Ronnie and Gina Bairrington of Fort Worth, Texas; ten grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife of 58 years Maxine Stokes Bairrington.
