Benny Jackson

Benny Dale Jackson of Bryan, TX, fell asleep in death November 12, 2018 after a short battle with cancer. He was born to William Luther and Ethel Elizabeth Jackson on November 3, 1934 in Goree, TX.

His family soon moved to Watervalley, TX where he attended school. After graduating from high school he signed up for the Navy, but was quickly recruited by the NSA. At the age of 22 he met the love of his life, Wyvon Lorene Berry. After 3 dates he proposed and they were married 3 months later on March 31, 1957 in San Angelo, TX. After their wedding they moved to Washington, DC where he served at the Pentagon. After a year of marriage he began an in depth study of the bible and soon made the decision to leave the Pentagon and become one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

He dedicated his life to his heavenly father, Jehovah God, in December of 1958. Benny served a long, happy life of faithful service to Jehovah, teaching anyone that he might meet about Him, His name and the promises He has given to mankind. He believed strongly in the earthly resurrection hope spoken about at Isa. 65:17-25. He tried to instill that hope in everyone he met, including his children.

In addition to his service to Jehovah he was also a very loving husband, father, grand-father, and friend. His family was his pride and joy. He doted on his wife their entire 61 and ½ years of marriage. Together they had 4 children.

He is survived by his dear wife, Wyvon Lorene Jackson, and his 3 sons: Daniel Luther Jackson and his wife Theresa of Little Elm, TX, Samuel Mark Jackson of Joshua, TX, Benjamin Matthew Jackson and his wife Laura of Sweetwater, TX, and his one daughter, Esther Lydia Jackson of Bryan, TX. He was also blessed with 5 grandchildren: Brandon Shane Jackson and his wife Jenna of Menard, TX, London Jackson, Sydni Alexandra Jackson, Zain Aleksandr Jackson, and Noah Dean Jackson.

He was also very excited about the approaching arrival of his first great-grandson Isaac Lee Jackson.

Benny will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He had the ability to deeply touch anyone that he met. He truly loved people and his service to Jehovah. Daddy we will be waiting on that bridge in the new system for you when you are resurrected.

His memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1611 W. Villa Maria Rd., Bryan, TX 77807 on November 23, 2018 at 3:00 PM.

Suspenders. I always remember his suspenders but also his ever so friendly smile. He was a genuinely interested and caring person who dearly loved Wyvon and his family. He endured for the joy before him keeping his hope in clear focus. Hebrews 12:2
