Beverly “BJ” J. Young, 57, of College Station, passed away Monday evening, October 17, 2011, at the College Station Medical Center. The family will receive friends during visitation from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, October 19, 2011, at Callaway-Jones Funeral Home in Bryan. A graveside ceremony celebrating her life is set for 11 a.m., Thursday, October 20, 2011, at Rest-Ever Memorial Park in Bryan, with Rev. Ray Marshall officiating.
Beverly was born in Bryan on December 14, 1953, to Jesse Young and Mildred Carlton. She worked as a secretary at Blinn College Medical Records.
She was preceded in death by her father Jesse S. Young Sr., brother Gary Young, and granddaughter Nicole Newton.
Survivors include her son, Stoney Newton, of Houston; daughter, Stormy Holden and husband Richard, of Cypress; mother, Mildred Carlton and husband Johnny, of College Station; brothers, Leslie Young and wife Belinda, of Missouri City, Scott Young, of College Station; sisters, Beth German and husband Hoss, of Iola, Pam Hamilton, of Houston; grandson, Robert Young; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Aunt Mildred and family, Mom called this evening to tell us of Beverly’s passing. I am so sorry to hear of her death. I think the last time I saw Beverly was at Grandma’s house in Conroe the night that Grandma had a heart attack. She stayed with the kids and I went to the hospital with Grandma. I think we were both pretty freaked out. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with all of you. My love to all, Patty
