Brianna Turner Geddie

Brianna Geddie, 26, of College Station, passed away comfortably on Wednesday, February 6, 2019, in College Station in the comfort of her home. A visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 pm, Friday, February 8, 2019, and her funeral service will be at 10 am, Saturday, February 9, 2019 both at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in College Station located on Welsh Ave. Interment will be a family private burial in Athens, TX. Born on July 14, 1992, in Durham, North Carolina, Brianna is one of five daughters to Terry and Kim Turner. Upon graduating from high school she attended BYU – Idaho, graduating with her Bachelors Degree in Childhood Development. Brianna married her husband Geoffrey Geddie, on Saturday April 13, 2013. This young couple set the world on fire with dreams of making a house their home along with their two sons Watson and Eli. Brianna was most devoted to her family, her extended family and friends unconditionally. She truly enjoyed being with her family at times traveling hours to meet them on her favorite beach. Brianna loved being outdoors, enjoying the beauty of God’s creation; she often would take her sons out to various local parks and share with them God’s breathtaking work. She is known for her peaceful sweet spirit that was captivating to many. Brianna’s heart was truly centered on family and friends. With laughter in her eyes that sense of adventure was found often in her willingness to try new food; something Geoffrey hesitated to do. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She is survived by her husband of five incredible years, Geoffrey Kendall Patrick Geddie; her two sons Watson and Eli; her parents, Terry and Kim Turner; her sisters, Jaquel and husband Steve Stokes, Chelsie and husband Ricky Vanderpool, Jocelyn and husband Joseph Arranda, and Richelle and husband Myles Primm; Gwynn and Lynn Geddie as her in-laws; her nieces and nephews; her extended church family; and other relatives.

Honoring the life of Brianna as pallbearers are Justin Nordin, Ricky Vanderpool, Brandon Geddie, Steven Geddie, Gary Brewster, and Jensen Hayter, and honorary pallbearers are Steve Stokes, Daniel Geddie, Myles Primm, and Joseph Arranda.

  6. Jerrie and I were so sorry to hear about the passing of this sweet spirit. Our hearts are heavy for the boys who will miss being raised by their momma. But how thankful that we all have the gospel to lead us. Our prayers are with you all.

  7. I remember Brianna, the little blond, somewhat shy girl with the sweetest smile playing at the Family Pool, attending birthday parties with my Alex, and playing outdoors in our neighborhood. I remember the high school beauty who was even more lovely in spirit than in appearance. Brianna, as a college student on a non-traditional schedule, cared so lovingly for my grandson, Cooper, and sent us pictures of his smiles and milestones. Brianna gave every person she met the same attention and kindness. Her love knew no boundaries and she rose above social expectations during school years that sometimes makes young people engage in groupthink that can lead to poor choices. Brianna was a light for so many, a bright spot in their day, a leader among her peers. She was filled with grace and I will remember her smile and her kindness always. Rest in peace, beautiful Brianna. I hope your new adventure is filled with wonder and light and love.

  8. Brianna was one of the genuinely kindest people I’ve ever know. I cherish fondly the memories we made as kids, and am grateful to know we will all meet her again. During this difficult time, my thought and prayers are with her sweet family. We love you so much. I pray you hold her beautiful babies tight and tell them all about their wonderful mother so they can love her too.

  9. Dear Kim, Terry and the entire Turner and Geddie families, we are so sorry for your loss! We loved Brianna and her sweet spirit! I know she will be greatly missed! 17. Our hearts truly go out to you and your family at this very tender time. We came to know Brother and Sister Turner when serving our mission in Roxboro two years ago. They were the heart of the Branch always helping out with the missionaries and making our experience there so wonderful. We know they will press forward in faith and will be a strength to those around them. We came to know Brianna and her family through family photos and hearing how proud Terry and Kim were of her and her husband and family. How blessed to know Heavenly Father’s plan and they will be together again forever.

  18. Dear Kim, Terry, Geoffrey, the entire Turner and Gentry families and the Geddie family, Jay and I send love and prayers, sympathy and friendship to you. Like others, I have prayed for Brianna, her boys, husband and parents since her diagnosis. I am so sorry for your loss on this side of Heaven, but grateful she is at peace and fully healed. Much love. Many prayers. Jackie

  20. Brianna and all her sisters reflect the sacred and loving home in which their parents reared then. All of us at The Dancers’ Workshop were blessed by their presence. 26. My brother, Ryan, and I were lucky enough to grow up with the Turner family, and all we have are good memories of Brianna. Brianna was simply selfless and genuine, even at a young age. I was only a few years younger than Brianna, but she always led the role of a mother figure to Richelle and I, pushing us to make the right decisions because she did not want to see us get hurt or get into trouble. When I picture her, I see her laughing at something silly that Ryan did. The Turners are such a strong family and they hold a very special place in my heart! Prayers to all the family and friends. May Brianna be at peace.

  27. Kim and Terry, words can’t express how sorry we are for your loss of your beautiful daughter Brianna. We will always treasure the moments we had with her as a beautiful teen, who developed into a wonderful woman. We know she will be missed terribly by her family and friends. Families are forever!! Love Ervin and Jamie

  28. You and your family have been and will continue to be in our prayers. We are a Bible Study group in Roxboro NC and many of us grew up with the Gentry family. May God give you strength. Blessings

  29. How grateful we are at moments like this to know that families are forever! Brianna is the same age as our oldest son and I can only imagine the pain that comes with loosing a child so early on. We never had the privilege of meeting Brianna personally but we know and love Jocelyn and her wonderful family. Please know that you all are in our prayers and we truly hope that angels will be ministering to your and your loved ones during this difficult time.

    With all our love!

  30. My deepest sympathies to the Turner and Geddies families. Brianna was like another daughter to me. I keep seeing visions of her little blond head giggling at my son Ryan, who was only days apart in age. She was such a sweet person, and I feel blessed to have been a part of her life. May she rest in peace.

  31. I am so sorry for your loss, Brianna was such a sweet caring person, always had a smile on face when we were younger. I pray the Turner and Geddie family find strength and peace as she is no longer in pain. Much love and prayers.

  32. Terry, Kim, Geoffrey and Family
Our hearts and prayers are with you all with Brianna’s passing. How blessed we have been to have been able to say we knew her, and felt of her sweet, kind and humble spirit. This part of her journey has ended, but we know this is not the end but the beginning of endless eternal opportunities. We love you all like our own family and know that brighter, happier days await you.
