Carol Rosemary Abbott

Carol Rosemary Abbott, 80, of Bryan, passed away Saturday, August 29, 2009, at her residence. A memorial service is set for 2 p.m., Wednesday, September, 2, 2009, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, located at 1611 West Villa Maria in Bryan.

Mrs. Abbott was born June 11, 1929 in St. Paul Minnesota to Axel and Ida Oslund. Her kind, generous, and hospitable spirit endeared her to all that knew her. Carol had many talents and interests, and enjoyed life, but she was most known for her deep love for Jehovah God. She loved sharing with others the Bible’s promise of God’s Kingdom that will bring an end to pain, suffering, and death.

(Revelation 21: 3, 4) She had faith in a hope of resurrection from death, (John 5:28, 29) and looked forward to life forever on a cleansed Earth. (Psalms 37:9-11, 29).

She was a faithful wife to her husband, Howard R. Abbott for 62 years, and a loving mother to five surviving children; Steven Abbott and wife Kathleen, Sandra Stigler and husband Darrell, Rosemary Ali, Timothy Abbott and wife Vanessa, and Debra Lindsey and husband Jim. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Our wife and mother was an exceptional person and will be dearly missed more than words can express.
