  15. I first worked with Peggy at TAMUS and then later Carrie. She was one of my friends that helped me enter long distance running. She ran my first 5k with me. She never gave up on me and would regularly text me to see what mile at was at during my training, “keep it up!”, “you got this!” Sometimes we would run together in the early mornings and would eventually run the BCS half-marathon many times together.
She was a very dear friend. In the last 12 years we hardly missed a day to chat! She wanted everyone to be happy and would do anything to lift our spirits. Carrie, your smile had a special glow; we all saw it.
    I miss you Carrie!
She was always in my head for each run and race I ran. She will forever be there. Lord, please be with her parents, brothers, daughters, extended family and friends as they move through this troubling time.
