Chad Deere

Chad Brandon Deere, 44, of Bryan, entered eternal rest Thursday, April 23, 2015 at his home. From the time Chad was a small child until the day he passed away , he knew two speeds, Wide Open or Dead Stop. His friends gave him the nickname “W.O.C” (Wide Open Chad). He was opinionated, loud, funny, and had a huge heart.

Chad loved the outdoors whether it was fishing or out muddin’ on his ATV. He loved to work on just about anything, and that earned him the nickname “Mr. Fix It.” He had several nicknames but the most important one was friend.

Chad passed away unexpectedly and as much as losing him hurts, we know that God does not make mistakes. Chad leaves behind his mother Susan Walls Deere of Roanoke, TX; father David Deere of Sulphur, LA; uncles, Dennis Deere of Lake Charles, LA, Daryl Deere of Sulphur, LA; brother Derek Deere of Orange, TX; special friend Amanda Yates; and numerous nieces and nephews.

  4. My condolences to the family of Chad Deere. May you find comfort in Jehovah God’s promise to remove the enemy death ( 1 Corinthians 15:26) and restore life to loved ones who have passed away (Acts 24:15).

  5. To the Family & Friends
We lived next to Chad. We only knew him for 2 months and in that time he was such a friendly guy.
That Saturday before he passed he was trying to help us fix our car in the rain. Had us laughing and said we would all try working on it again in the morning, but we never seen him again. It saddens our hearts.
He had a cat that misses him badly…
Our prayers go out to all of y’all to find peace!!
Chad thank you for being the person you were.

    Hector & Brandy

  6. I will never ever forget you. You came into my life and made me feel alive again after the death of my father. You taught me to be strong and tough. You made me realize that our purpose on earth is to share the love of God with people, regardless of their circumstances. You taught me patience and you turned me back to God. You taught me to be a good fisherman, you took me on my first shrimping adventure, you made me love seafood and you taught me more than I wanted to know about 4 wheelers. You would drop everything when I called and needed you, you rescued me, you helped me get unstuck, you picked me up cause I was too out of shape to walk, you nursed me back to health after my surgery and I know you loved me. We had a LOT of good times together and I am going to miss that. You were silly and made me laugh. There are so many Chadisms that you left me with. So many people are going to miss you and your crazy stories……. You always told me that you didn’t want to grow old alone and I wouldn’t have let you. One day I will see you again my friend, one day. Until then it is not good bye, it is, see you later.

  7. susan…… This is Roy Rhodes the big mexican, Chad used to come to your house with. I worked on your house a few times. My family would like to extend our prayers and condolences to you. We are so sorry for your loss. Chad was one heck of a person and it’s going to be hard to accept the fact that he is gone. One assurance we do have is that we’ll see him again some day and we’ll go muddin’ all we want in God’s Kingdom. Till we meet again Chad…

  8. My deepest and most sincere condolences to the Deere family and my friend, Amanda. I know Chad will truly be missed by all those who knew and loved him. God bless.

I know you are laughing and living it up in style. Your love of the outdoors, gruff laugh and oh so sarcastic personality will long be remembered.
You made a huge impact on our Amanda. For that, thank you!
May your family be blessed by God’s grace today and everyday they feel themselves saddened by your loss.

  11. Chad you were a friend to me. You came to my rescue a time or two or three. You never left anyone stuck out if you could help it. You had a big heart. One of the last times I spent with you, you were cooking Amanda and I dinner while we talked and then you were kind enough to serve us and wash the dishes. We had many laughs over the years and so many great memories of riding four wheelers and hanging out. You will be missed by many and by me.
