Chester Roy Jones, 68, of Bryan, passed away Wednesday June 8, 2016. His life will be celebrated and honored during a memorial service at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 11, 2016, at St. Michael’s Chapel at 2402 S. College Ave. in Bryan. Cremation and Celebration of Life services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral Home and Crematory.
Chester was born June 16, 1947 in Stoughton, Wisconsin, to Francis and Laverne Jones. He retired after working in multiple departs at Texas A&M University.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Roselind Gurney, and dearest lifelong friend John LeBeck.
Survivors include his brother, Dennis Jones, of Wisconsin; nephews, Brett and Troy Jones both of Wisconsin; nieces, Michelle Jones of New Mexico, and Tammy Bushor of Wisconsin; and many dear friends.
In lieu of flowers and for those who desire, contributions can be sent in Chester’s honor to the March of Dimes at 1275 Mamaroneck Ave., White Plains, NY 10605 or to the Make a Wish Foundation at 4742 North 24th Street, Suite 400, Phoenix, AZ 85016.
