Clara Marzahn Berka, 82, of Bryan, passed away Sunday, October 3, 2010, at St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, October 6, 2010, at Callaway-Jones Funeral Home in Bryan. Graveside services are set for 10 a.m., Thursday, October 7, at Smetana Cemetery with Rev. Karl Tewold officiating.

Clara was born June 20, 1928, to John and Gertrude Roese Marzahn in Washington Texas. After moving back to Washington she met and married Louis “Daddy” Berka. Together they enjoyed life along with raising and growing large gardens of organic vegetables.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, Louis “Daddy” Berka, of Bryan, Texas; aunt, Mary R. Martin, of Cotulla, Texas; many cousins, and special friends, John Ragsdale, of Bryan, and Dorothy Wolff, of Bryan.
