Clara Louise McCleary, 96, of Wellborn, passed away Thursday July 20, 2017. A memorial service honoring Clara’s life will begin at 1:30pm, Sunday, October 22, 2017 at Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers Bryan/College Station. Services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers Bryan/College Station.

Clara Louise McCleary, 96, of Wellborn, passed away Thursday July 20, 2017. There will be a private service and inurnment for the family at at Restever Memorial Park Cemetery. Services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers of Bryan College Station.

Clara was born October 29, 1920, in Alexandria, Minnesota, to Julius and Bertha Keipe. She was a longtime resident of the Wellborn Community and she was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in College Station. Clara will be remembered by her family and friends as a loving mother, wife, grandmother, and aunt.

Her family would like to offer a sincere and special thank you to Dr. Chris Imperial and Hospice Brazos Valley, her nurse, Andrea, her aid, Melinda for their compassionate care.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband William John McCleary; son, Danny McCleary; her parents; brothers, Alvin Keipe, Leonard Keipe, David Keipe; sisters, Florence Subbert, Norma Reitz, Alma Rakow; and great grandchildren, Madison, Grace and Tanner McCleary.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Diane McCleary of Wellborn; grandchildren, Kyle and Tina McCleary of Snook, Brian and Trish McCleary of Wellborn, Kevin and Audrey McCleary of Jourdanton, Sean and Nancy Snow of Temple, Mirriah and Ben Sanders of College Station, Danny McCleary of Lyons; and 10 great grandchildren.
