  2. What a fine man with a kind heart! His life of service to God and our country exemplifies this. His career of military service he accepted as his duty, and he served with honor. Robert was thankful for his family who accompanied him wherever they could.

In his retirement he continued helping others and setting a good example in the neighborhood. We loved the daily appearance of the American flag on the pole in their front yard. We were honored by it and knew he had given much for us and our country.

He was an early visitor to family and friends if they had a death in the family, faithfully served the Baptist Church, and joyfully attended all family celebrations. As a neighbor, he was always a good “go to” man for advice.

Best of all, he was a good Christian man.
I know you will miss him.
