Condolences for the family of “Daniel Gray”

Condolence from Al Romig on January 9th, 2016 7:26 am

I was privileged to know Dan for only about a year. I am grateful for that and wish I could have met him much sooner. Still, he was a man who sincerely made people feel as though he had been a lifelong friend. I would like to share my deep condolences with Dan’s family. I pray for your comfort.

Dan was one of my closest friends, and someone that will be missed greatly. Although we knew each other for several years it just wasn’t enough. I’ll miss our weekends at the flying field and lunches at Joe’s Place. I pray we’ll fly together again someday. Prayers for you and your family at this time.

Condolence from Gerald Garwood on January 11th, 2016 9:16 am

I was made welcome to the flying club by Dan and he was always kind and helpful, I like many others shall have a void without his presence. Prayers to your family are and will be many for a long time.

Dan was a wonderful human being with so many amazing tales and great person to work for. He always encouraged me to “learn something new everyday” and use that motto even now. He will truly be missed.

I had the opportunity to work for Dan as an adjunct instructor working on course design. for short periods I shared an office across the hall from him. I will never forget his smile and sense of humor. I tell several stories that he relayed to me and some of my own experiences with him. He will be missed.

Dan Gray. What can I say? I’m am so glad that I got to work with Dan while I was working with the City of Brownfield. Dan and his staff took care of our safety needs for years. He was a joy to be around and always took care of any needs that we had. I can’t say enough about how he took such good care of me and my crew.
I will be praying for the Family and his staff at TEEX. God Bless the Dan Gray Family and be with them at this time.
Love you Dan!

It was my pleasure to know “Mr. Dan” as I called him. He always made me smile with whatever he said. I will miss “Mr. Dan”, even though he had retired from TEEX. He was a great man and always made an effort to make you feel a part of everything going on. Prayers to his family and may he rest in peace.

Condolence from John Green on January 14th, 2016 9:30 am

I’m sorry to hear of the passing of Dan. I always enjoyed working & being around Dan for conferences, safety meetings, and schooling. He had a way of engaging the audience with his knowledge, wit and good humor. He helped people in all different utility fields become safer and more productive workers. He leaves behind a great legacy and a big pair of shoes to be filled. He will truly be missed by everyone that he touched. May God Bless his family and the TEEX staff.

Condolence from Harold Bettes on January 18th, 2016 12:47 pm

Please accept my condolences for Daniel’s wife and family. I had not seen Daniel for many long years (all the way back to the 1960s) yet I would think of him often when I remembered all our old friends back in Odessa when we were growing up.

He always seemed to be a serious guy but maintained humor in the process. We were in the same car club and Daniel took his responsibilities quite seriously and was a good role model for newer members. I am positive that Daniel will be missed by all that he influenced.

It is good to see that he also “kept ’em flying”. So long, old pal. RIP

Condolence from David Hubbard on February 12th, 2016 6:56 pm

I knew Daniel many years ago in Odessa, Texas. Daniel was a very nice guy and was pleasant to all. About the only thing that I remember was that his Dad had a jeep in their garage with a big engine of some sort that Daniel always wanted to make run. I am sorry for your loss.
