Dickerson Martin Doriocourt

Dickerson “Dick” M. Doriocourt, 79, passed away on Monday, June 14, 2010 in Madisonville, Texas. A Memorial service is set for Friday, June 18, 2010 at Four O’ Clock in the afternoon at Edge Baptist Church in Edge, Texas, family and friends will gather from Three O’ Clock until Four O’ Clock service time.

Dick was born on May 4, 1931 to Charles and Jeannette Doriocourt in Houston, Texas. Dick married the love of his life Evelyn Wyatt on December 2, 1956 in Bryan, Texas. Dick owned and operated his own business, White Giant Egg Company from where he got the nickname “The Egg Man”. He also worked for Feathercrest Farms,
He sold and delivered eggs in Bryan and surrounding counties. His work ethics he instilled in all of his children. Dick always had a smile on his face and a kind word to say and was always willing to help. Besides loving his family so much he did have one other love and that was for Ice Cream, Dick was well known for his love of it. Dick lived his life according to God’s way. He was a very loving husband, father and grandfather. Dick had a sense of humor, kindness and willingness to always be helpful; Dick will be missed by all his family and friends.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Charles Doriocourt.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn of Edge, Texas, his son and daughter-in-law Guy and Lori Doriocourt of Bryan, daughters and sons–in-laws Sue Doriocourt of Florida, Jeannette Doriocourt of Edge, Kathy and Albert Montoya of Bryan, Teresa and Ron Bordeau of Edge, sisters and brothers-in-law Jeannette and Andy Scardino of Pearland, Gloria and Sandy Mitchell of Cypress-Fairbanks, Grandchildren Ben, Steven, Brandon, Sara, David, John, Phillip, Chad, Holly, Bradley, Dillion and Ricky, and 2 Great-Grandchildren Derrick and Reed.

The family would like to thank Texas Home Health Hospice and the Madisonville Care Center for all of their care and support. In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to Texas Home Health Hospice 7676 Hillmont, Suite 300, Houston, Texas 77040
