Dorothy Bilbo

Dorothy Ann Siegert Bilbo, 87, of Bryan, passed away Saturday June 23, 2018. Family and friends are invited to a time of visitation from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at Callaway-Jones Funeral Center, 3001 S College Ave in Bryan. Her life will be celebrated with a Life Tribute Service at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 28, at Northview Baptist Church in Bryan with Pastor Steve Holcombe officiating. Interment will follow at the Bryan City Cemetery. Services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers of Bryan College Station.

Dorothy was born August 26, 1930, to Robert, Sr. and Lillian (Barker) Siegert, in Smetana, Texas. She was a member of Northview Baptist Church in Bryan and served as the church secretary for many years. Dorothy enjoyed cooking, gardening, feeding the birds, and she especially loved her cats and dogs. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and her church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie Bilbo; her parents, Robert, Sr. and Lillian (Barker) Siegert; daughter, Jackie Jones, and sisters, Oma Spong, and Norma Autrey; and a great grandson, Andrew Anderson.

Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Dottye and Stan Tisdale, Nova and Billy Cooper; brother and sister-in-law, Robert Jr and Dorothy Siegert; seven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild; close friends Glenn Butler, the ladies at Northview Baptist Church; and numerous nieces and nephews.
