  2. We were in College Station Kiwanis Club and also Mended Hearts with Omer. In both organizations we found him to be a friend, hard worker and someone you could always count on for support. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him, but always fondly remembered. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

  4. Omer’s compassion and love for his fellow man, dedication to The Kiwanis Club and as well as his wonderful sense of humor, will live on. I am deeply sorry for your loss but feel joy at knowing and working with Omer.

  5. I had not seen him for years but will always remember him as a kind man and a loving father to Jeff and Mike. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you.

  6. Jonny I’m so sorry to hear about omer. You and him helped me deal with the loss of my father and for that there’s no words that can express how grateful I am to have met you and omer. I still remember him on his scooter and bumping into the doors and the dishwasher. I also will never forget how humble he was and how much he enjoyed helping others. I never will forget omer or you, yall will always and do hold a special place in my heart. I’m praying for you and your family.

  7. It is no exaggeration to say that Omer saved my life. I was a wayward young man twenty years ago when Omer, along with several other Kiwanians, got in my way before I could destroy myself and my future. Never shy about asking me and any other young person about themselves and their lives, Omer’s loving attention guaranteed that I would make sure I had something of accomplishment to share with him the next time I saw him. He always congratulated and encouraged, and cajoled.

My heart breaks knowing Omer isn’t touching young lives anymore. I promise to continue his legacy in the tradition he taught me: Always serve – never give up. God smiled the first moment he thought of Omer, and I have no doubt Heaven is a a happier place with a favorite son coming home…

Beth and I extend our sincere condolences and sympathy for the entire family. May the holes in your hearts be filled with the joy of his memory.

  8. We are very sorry to hear that Omer passed away. He was always a good friend and fun to be with. He was thoughtful, liked to assist and always optimistic. He will be greatly missed and mankind is lesser for his loss. Our prayers are with you.

  9. We were saddened to learn of the passing of Omer. He was a good man and friend to us and our family. You have our sympathy and prayers for your comfort at this trying time. Omer was always fun to be around and willing to help others and his loss has lessened the world.
