Condolences

  1. Ed was a good friend to , and faithful member of, the Christian Science Society of Bryan/College Station, where he served as Board of Directors member and a Reader of The Bible for some of our services. He often shared experiences of healing and protection from danger while serving in the military during the Wednesday Evening Testimonial Meetings. This was inspiring.

Ed was also a devoted employee of Sam’s Club in recent years, as well as being employed in other service and sales endeavors. He never could be considered retired, and had numerous avocations including, flying, riding his motorcycle, golfing, watercolor painting, travelling, and cooking.

Ed’s character represents the qualities of true gentlemanliness, and I remember him in this way, as I know all his family and friends do too!

  2. To express our deep sympathy to you on your loss. We thank Mr. Ed for serving our country in the U.S. Marine Corps during WW II – the Korean Conflict. You were a member of ‘the greatest generation’. We also thank you for being a member of the American Legion. May God’s Speed Be With You. Semper Fi.

  3. Ed was an inspiration to all of us at church with his later in life Texas A-M graduation, his continuing activities long after most people are content just sit.
His devoted friend Marie Bigley deserves 10 gold stars for her care and comfort to Ed for many years. We miss him and his Harley Davidson skirts and wings.

  4. We apologize for our belated condolences for our Marine brother. We were just recently informed of Ed’s passing.
Ed was truly a legend in our beloved Marine helicopter squadron, HMR[L] 261. He will be sorely missed by all of us that were privileged to have served with him in the defense of our great country.
